Terri Eddy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychiatric nurse who specializes in children, adults and families. She has been conducting psychotherapy for over ten years. She received her M.S.W. degree from California State University at Long Beach and has worked as a psychiatric nurse since 2000. Her experience includes working with long term trauma in children, sexual abuse and molestation, PTSD, grief and loss, OCD, family communication problems, coping with chronic illness, and severe mental illness. She has extensive inpatient and partial hospitalization experience and has worked with clients whose problems have spanned the gamut from very seriously impaired individuals to very highly functioning persons. She initiated and coordinated a program for coping with chronic respiratory problems. She prefers strength based approaches, is certified in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for treating trauma, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skill building for personality problems, grief work, and in Imago therapy for relationships. When not performing psychotherapy, Terri can often be found spending time with her friends, family, grandchildren, dogs, and cats, and traveling. She enjoys backpacking, skiing, hiking, snorkling, dream work, and the creative process.
