Santa Barbara Behavioral Health is an affiliation of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers and marriage and family therapists that has served Santa Barbara County for over twenty years.
We provide behavioral health services, including consultations, psychiatric treatment with medications, psychotherapy, couples therapy and family therapy. In order to make high quality behavioral health care available to as many people as possible, we have contracted with most of the insurance companies covering behavioral health care in the Santa Barbara area.
We have developed administrative practices to relieve patients of the burden of clarifying insurance eligibility, benefits and out of pocket costs, enabling patients to get excellent service quickly and affordably, while being responsible only for their co-payments and insurance deductibles.
Clinicians at SBBH have been recognized for helping patients achieve high levels of improvement, based on outcomes research results by behavioral health insurance companies.
We are currently accepting new patients with Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, Blue Shield MHSA, Beacon/College Health IPA, ComPsych, Covered CA, Managed Health Network, LifeSynch/Humana, Magellan, Optum, United Behavioral Health, Value Options, HMC Behavioral Health, Holman, Medicare Advantage plans, and other plans, as well as patients paying privately.
Major local employee groups covered include UCSB, Cottage Health System, Santa Barbara City College, Sansum Clinic, City of Santa Barbara, Union Bank, Deckers, many school districts, and others.
